Dearest friend, Welcome to my website! My name is Bill Mauldin and I am running for the Georgia State House in District 126 encompassing a large portion of Spalding, Butts, and Lamar Counties. Like many of you, I have been frustrated by a lack of leadership in Atlanta and representation that is more concerned with special interests than the interests of the people they are called to represent. I decided to run because I believe that we deserve more from our government and those who represent us. I believe strongly in the future of our state and our district, and want to use my experience and knowledge to bring lasting improvements to our counties. I want to see my children, and yours, have the opportunity to achieve their full potential in education, and have the ability to enjoy good paying careers close to their homes. I want to see our generation, and our parents, be able to reach our golden years without worrying about excessive taxation, poor healthcare, poor transportation networks, or where we will get our next drink of water. In short, I want to work hard to make the great state of Georgia even greater for our children and our future. I hope that you will view this website as the beginning of a conversation. Like any conversation, it requires two sides. While I will express my thoughts on various issues and my hopes for the state of Georgia, it is important that you use this site as an opportunity to do the same. So take a look around and join me in beginning a much needed conversation about how to move our state forward.    Where Do I Stand?
There are many hot topics on the state agenda today,
and they affect our citizens either directly, or indirectly. What I offer are common-sense and realistic approaches
to our problems, with the flexibilty and bipartisanship to create lasting solutions. Doing nothing, solves nothing,
and that's what the last 2 years of representation has brought our district and our state, NOTHING! I offer
you an accessible, hard working alternative who will be answerable NOT to the Governor,
or the Speaker of the House, but to YOU, the residents of District 126.
Working together, we can solve these issues, and others, and build a better Georgia for ourselves, and our children!
